Explanation on news about acquiring of shares of PA

Translation July 26, 2006 Subject : Explanation on news posted about acquiring of shares of Pacific Asset Plc. To : Directors and Manager of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Regarding the news posted on newspapers dated 26 July 2006 that Khun Chatri Sophonpanich, the Chairman of the Board of Director of Dusit Thani Plc. gave an interview that Dusit Thani Plc. did not intend to acquire the total shares or to take over the business of Pacific Asset Plc. but the company may alternatively buy partial of the assets which may contribute to the business of Dusit Thani Hotel. We would like to explain that we are on the process of studying all information of the Pacific Asset Plc. to be guideline in making decision on whether to enter into such transaction or not. Acquisition of assets is one of our alternatives to expand the business of the company. However, the situation at present is uncertain.
