Clarification to the takeover of Pacific Assets PLC

Translation July 24, 2006 President The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Dear Sir, Re: Clarification to the takeover of Pacific Assets Public Company Limited As published in several newspapers July 24, 2006 that Dusit Thani Public Company Limited ("the Company or DTC") is planning to takeover more than 50% stake in Pacific Assets Public Company Limited ("PA") and has completed the due diligence process, the Company would like to slate that DTC has entered into preliminary discussion with one of the major shareholder of PA. However, there is no certainty or assurance that the Company will commit in this particular investment, thus the Company have not revealed any information of this potential investment to PA, PA's shareholders or the public in order to prevent any misunderstandings. The Company will report to the SET immediately after having made the final decision to further with this investment and received the Board resolution. Please be informed accordingly.
