DTC's trading on a call market basis has been deferred
Previously, The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) consigned
Dusit Thani Public Company Limited (DTC) to be traded on
a call market basis, effective November 15, 2006 if the company
failed to meet the "minority shareholder" requirement by
October 31, 2006. (Details were posted on SETSMART on June 30, 2006.)
This action has now been deferred.
DTC has now provided a satisfactory plan to meet the "minority
shareholder" requirement, by selling treasury stocks to minority
shareholders of Royal Princess Public Company Limited (RPP)
and Dusit Hotels and Resorts Co.,Ltd.(DHR) However, as the company
is unable to meet the deadline of October 31, 2006, the company has
requested a deferment to December 31, 2006. (Details were given via
SETSMART on October 20, 2006.)
The SET has therefore agreed to defer DTC's trading on a call market
basis as requested. However, if the December 31, 2006, deadline
is not met, the SET will consign DTC to be traded on a call market
basis from January 15, 2007, until the situation is rectified.
