EXPLANATION OF NET PROFIT YEAR 2002 COMPARED TO YEAR 2001

Translation With reference to the Consolidated Financial Statements of Dusit Thani Public Company Limited for the year ended December 31, 2002 which showed the net profit Baht 441.35 Million increased Baht 99.92 Million or 29.27% from last year which showed the net profit Baht 341.43 Million , the main reasons are 1. In the year 2001, the Company paid Baht 41.05 Million to the Official Receiver on behalf of World Intertrade Corporation Limited for preventing any demage occurred to the company's image and business. The Company recorded World Intertrade Corporation Limited as a account receivable and recorded the allowance for doubtful account with the same amount while recorded the bad debt as the expenses of selling and admininstration expenses in Income Statement. 2. In the year 2001, the company recorded the allowance for doubtful account and accrued interest for the loan from Royal Princess Public Company Limited to the Supsinthanee Co., Ltd.for the amount of Baht 197.83 Million. In the year 2002, most of our hotel operations result in our chain were better than the year 2001.
