TRANSLATION July 18, 2001 Subject:Report a newly formed Asian Hotels Alliance (AHA) Attention: Director and Manager of the Stock Exchange of Thailand This is to inform you that Dusit Hotels & Resorts Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Dusit Thani Public Company Limited which its shareholding of 97.44% held by Dusit Thani Plc, with other 4 hotel companies namely Landis Hotels and Resorts in Taiwan, Marco Polo Hotel Group in Hong Kong, Meritus Hotels & Resorts in Singapore and New Otani Hotels in Japan have joined together to form a marketing alliance called "Asian Hotels Alliance (AHA)" to better serve the established client base and future customers of each member. The official launch of AHA will take place on July 27, 2001. The main focus would be on a combined distribution channel through "Internet booking" plus cooperation in sales and marketing areas. Altogether, the AHA members can proudly direct greater attention to a diverse and impressive portfolio of more than 70 hotels - all of which aim to constantly improve and expand their facilities and services. Cross promotion, database marketing, a wider Internet presence, and the sharing of other marketing resources will provide each member company significant efficiencies that will maximize the effectiveness of individual marketing budget.
