THE REASON OF NET PROFIT YEAR 2000 INCREASE FROM YEAR 1999

Translation The Consolidated Financial Statements of Dusit Thani Public Company Limited as of December 31, 2000 showed the net profit in the amount of Baht 423.62 million which increased Baht 256.92 million or 154% when compare with the same period of 1999. The increasing of the net profit was derived from Dusit Thani Delaware, Inc., a subsidiary company, had paid tax Baht 34 million from the sharing revenue received from the selling of hotel business in 1999, and the result of the operation of the Company's hotels in 2000 was better than 1999, while cost of sales, selling & administrative expenses, especially, the depreciation in 2000 decreased.
